Community Service
Founder and Chairman, Rural
Emancipation Society (RES), Bangladesh.
Established in 2006, a government approved non-political and
not-for-profit organization solely devoted to the welfare of humanity.
The programs of this organization allow rural
people to rise in economic and social standing, come out of poverty
and achieve a lifestyle to be proud of. The main objectives of this
organization are to alleviate rural poverty through financially
sound development, active community participation and the empowerment
of women; and to create awareness among the people and bring
facilities for enhancement of education, health, hygiene and
environment. It aims to formulate a plan for the development of human
resources, creating opportunities for career development and
utilization of human resources; to develop opportunities for research,
training, welfare, financial development and humanitarian services;
and to create an environment for interaction of the rural, less
educated people with the more enlightened people of the country and
the world and thereby improve overall economic and social conditions.
Currently the organization is working on poverty alleviation projects
in rural areas of Bangladesh and is planning to work on education; and
health and environmental projects.For
